Welcome to San Diego American Legion District 22. The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization. We are the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued support of our fellow service members and veterans.

San Diego’s District 22 is comprised of 29 American Legion Post’s throughout San Diego County with a membership of nearly 8500 wartime veterans. We have 17 Squadrons of our Sons of The American Legion members, 18 Auxiliary Units, and 10 American Legion Riders Chapters. Each Post has it’s own unique profile and commitment to the American Legion’s 4 Pillars of service within their respective communities.
